The Diploma course is aimed at students who want to set up and manage an aquaculture enterprise. Students are expected to have internet access and be able to research information and produce work of a high standard. |
The Certificate IV in Seafood Industry (Aquaculture) (Course No 6593) is a prerequisite for this course. The course structure given below assumes you have completed the Certificate IV.
Study load
The Diploma will run full time over one semester or part time over a full year or more. It will require attendance at one workshop block, as well as home study using comprehensive course workbooks. Support is available from teaching staff on a free call number or by e-mail. Additional study materials are available on the Internet.
The Diploma level course relies on students doing considerable research for the units. Students need internet access and assignments are to be presented in a professional manner. This includes correct usage and spelling of technical terms and referencing information sources.
This course meets the requirements of Austudy as a one semester full time course, and may also meet Austudy requirements for a full year course depending in individual student’s enrolments. Please discuss this at enrolment.
