Seafood Processing Course Information

Courses

Fish Scales The courses are nationally recognised and structured around a set of units of competency. Students are provided with some distance learning materials and have access to phone and email support. Some competencies will require attendance at a TAFE campus for specfic training sessions or assessment eg First Aid.

The courses offered are:

  • Certificate II Seafood Industry (Seafood processing)
  • Certificate III Seafood Industry (Seafood processing)
  • Certificate II Seafood Industry (Sales & distribution)
  • Certificate III Seafood Industry (Sales & distribution)

These courses are registered for trainees and are aimed at people working already in the seafood industry. Much of the study is work based and the courses focus on recognising and formalising skills already learnt in the workplace and providing targeted training in the areas where it is needed. Availability depends on student numbers and locations as courses are targeted to individuals or workplace needs.
